Donna Jones will complete her coursework at NOVA Southeastern University this year, earning her EdD in healthcare education and gerontology.  She plans to apply her new knowledge to advance her career with the Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as to do some adjunct teaching.  Donna has been inspired by Dr. Sarah V. Myers, a colleague at the VA who has supported her educational goals and helps keep her motivated through the dissertation process.  She relished time spent volunteering in a homeless shelter, where she helped children with homework and supported parents coping with temporary homelessness.  Donna views giving back as a necessity in life and looks forward to teaching other adults in healthcare careers.  She loves to travel and hopes to one day take her teaching skills overseas where she can both give and receive knowledge.
