Christine Bayse studies Air Traffic Management at the University of Oklahoma, in Norman, with aspirations to become an Air Traffic Controller. Her mother Betty works for the FAA, and has influenced Christine’s career choices, demonstrating how much she loves her job, even allowing Christine to observe her on the job, and inspiring her to follow in her footsteps. In addition to her academic pursuits, Christine has experienced personally the impact of performing public service. “Sometimes we get caught up in how we live and we think that everyone is just as fortunate as we are,” she remarks. Having worked with special-education children she sees the impact she will have on their lives down the road, helping them to one day live on their own. Christine greatly looks up to her parents, hoping to become as successful as them, and to one day be able to give her family a life like the one that they gave to her.
