Alex Batista studies Petroleum Engineering at the University of Texas, at Austin. This freshman from Houston plans to get a job for a successful company as either a reservoir or drilling engineer, and then work his way up into management later in his career. Alex enjoys bible study as an outlet to allow him to help others, and looks forward to collaborative group work in his future. Alex is also an avid sports fan and enjoys traveling. His father and sponsor, David, sparked his interest in baseball and in politics.
