Michael Barron

Barron_MichaelMichael Barron studies at Towson University in Maryland. He is a freshman Pre-Engineering major in a Physics and Mechanical Engineering dual degree program. Michael enjoys volunteering alongside his siblings for the Our Daily Bread Outreach Program, making a difference to his community by baking and collecting casseroles for the hungry of Baltimore.  He learned about the many contributions of federal employees through his father's position with the federal government, and hopes to work for the FRA, the Federal Railroad Administration, or with a major railroad, after graduation.

Michael is passionate about trains and streetcars, and interest which started even before he could talk. He is a member of the Baltimore Society of Model Engineers and drives actual mini-steam locomotives called live steamers. Michael’s mother, a first generation American, has taught him confidence and instilled his fundamental desire to succeed in school.
