Donald Barron

Barron_Donald Donald Barron’s grandfather Didi came from a country where he was denied a good education. While Donald, who prefers to be called Joseph, was growing up, Didi stressed knowledge and education as the key to success, and motivated Joseph’s hard work in school. Now Joseph is in his junior year at LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA, where he double-majors in Computer Science and Mathematics. His father, Don, has worked for the federal government for over twenty years, and his service has inspired Joseph’s plans to work for NSA. One of Joseph’s favorite activities is visiting the Chesapeake and Allegheny Steam Preservation Society, as it allows him to interact hands-on with historical locomotives of a smaller scale, and to spend time with his brother, Michael, a a member of the society. Joseph also contributes to keeping his community vibrant through volunteering for “Our Daily Bread” in Baltimore, making and collecting food for the poor.
