Hailee Richards is a freshman Elementary Education major at Brigham Young University. Her goal is to become a Kindergarten teacher, and to teach children the fundamentals of learning and reading. To Hailee, what is most important is serving others. She believes that whether it be through tutoring, working in service projects, or providing leadership in sports, service is vital. “I became interested in service when I recognized the example of my parents and church leaders. When I have been given so much, the least I can do is share a little of my knowledge with those I will teach.”

Hailee has a passion for lacrosse, piano and the Spanish language. Someday she would love to travel to areas of Central and South America, to teach children there who may not have had the opportunity for an education. She also plans to coach lacrosse and piano, with the hope of inspiring young children to gain new abilities and develop further as individuals.
