Rebecca Colson is in her final year at Elms College in Chicopee, Massachusetts. With a major in English and a minor in Legal Studies, she would be happy working either in the publishing industry as a book editor, or in the legal field. She plans to continue her education by either getting a Master’s degree in English, or by going to law school. Her parents have always been extremely supportive of her educational goals. Rebecca has always been an avid reader thanks to her parents, who read to her at a very young age. Her love of books and reading is what inspired her to pursue a degree in English and a career in editing/publishing.

Rebecca currently volunteers at the Agawam Public Library, and has done so since the 7th grade. Rebecca knows firsthand the value of public service. “Not only are you giving back to the community, but being involved can lead to discovering something that you really enjoy and could end up becoming a future career.” Rebecca also works part-time as a cashier at Geissler’s Supermarket in Agawam, Massachusetts.
