Abigail Kelly is a freshman at Princeton University, and planning on majoring in either German or Environmental Science. She would like to go into mediation or environmental conservation, and is very involved in the New England Quaker community. Abigail attends retreats with other young Quakers throughout the year, and in High School, was one of ten teens who acted as mentors and leaders in the community. Many older members of her Quaker community, who work in civic engagement or NGO professions, have guided her interest in mediation as a career.
Abigail believes that involvement in public service is important for people young and old, and that our government only works because of civic engagement. She loves photography and writing, and has written several articles for the Cobblestone children’s magazines.
