Wynona James currently serves as the Special Emphasis Program Manager in diversity, and an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Champion, at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. Also in her second year of studies at Nova Southeastern University, Wynona is working hard towards her PhD in Conflict Analysis and Reconciliation. Wynona plans to continue to work for the federal government, continuing her career as a diversity consultant and conflict resolution practitioner focusing on policy making. After retirement, she would like to teach at the college-level and contribute to research in conflict resolution and peacemaking.
Wynona’s father is a former military member who served in the Air Force as a Communications Specialist for 27 years. “The decision to follow in my father’s footsteps has afforded me countless opportunities to continue to make positive changes. And my current position as a Special Emphasis Program Manager contributing to diversity and peacemaking in the workplace has been a long-time goal I have wanted to achieve.” Wynona is also committed to ministering to the disabled and deaf in her church, where she serves as the Deaf Ministry Coordinator and sign language interpreter.
