Brooke Turrell studies Graphic Design at the University of Notre Dame, Indiana. She is a freshman, and may also double major in Marketing, with the dream of one day working for an advertising company and supporting herself. Working on her high school yearbook back in Lee's Summit, Missouri, was an integral part of those years, and was her first inspiration for studying Graphic Design. Brooke’s mother and sponsor Donna, with GSA, played a vital role in energizing Brooke’s academic success: “I would not be where I am today without her love and support,” she says.

Brooke feels that public service provides a new outlook on life, and helps to give young people new perspective. Both her Aunt Ann and her mother Donna work for the federal government.
