Robert Kent works for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Kansas City Missouri, and is working towards his MBA in Project Management through Columbia Southern University. In addition to his work with the VA, Robert spent a year and a half on weekends working with the Missouri Department of Transportation (Kansas City Scout System) to help pay for school. Robert plans to continue working at the VA, and also hopes to teach safety classes at the college level.
Throughout his endeavors, his wife, children and coworkers have been extremely supportive. “I try to set a good example for my children to focus on your dreams,” he says. His own childhood hero was his Pop Warner football coach, Nathaniel “Pee Wee” Dawson. Robert also enjoys coaching T-ball and any sports his children are involved in, and supports various cancer events together with his family.
