Courtney Rivet

Rivet_CourtneyCourtney Rivet is a first-year student at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, hailing originally from Bay City. Courtney has not yet decided upon a career but plans on studying medicine, and possibly focusing on chemistry. In high school, Courtney participated in Forensics Speech, and in Science Olympiad. Forensics taught her confidence when speaking in front of people, making her extremely comfortable delivering professional speeches. Science Olympiad has helped Courtney realize how much she loves science, guided her towards a medical career.

Courtney praises her parents for inspiring her to do her best in school, and teaching her to always push herself to do her very best. In addition to her studies, Courtney works at a museum on campus in the work-study program. She is a thrill seeker, and loves spending her free time at the roller coaster capitol of the world, Cedar Point.
