Benjamin Hogan studies mechanical engineering at Indiana University Purdue University- Indianapolis (IUPUI). Once this freshman has achieved his five-year engineering masters degree at IUPUI, his goal is to obtain a good job close home so he may continue to enjoy the company of his friends and family. Ben has had several opportunities to tour areas of the Navy facility at NSWC Crane, and taken CAD classes that provided him with insight into the engineering field. He would find it very rewarding to use his mechanical engineering degree to help his country, by building and working on military weapons and defense systems.

Ben’s other passion since the fifth grade has been basketball, an activity he shares with his whole family and which has taught him to work hard for what he wants to achieve. “My teammates and our families have had a lot of fun through the years,” says Ben. “We have always been there for each other.”
