Tiffany Brown is a third year biology student at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, where she has lived her whole life. Tiffany participates every summer in a Pre-Med program through FASTS, Facilitated Admissions for South Texas Scholars. This has allowed her to shadow residents at University Hospital including an Ob/Gyn, an anesthesiologist, an internal medicine physician, and a neurosurgeon. These experiences have shown Tiffany that being a physician is truly her calling. She plans to attend medical school, and eventually become a psychiatrist.  She hopes to one day help people who feel alone and out of place, and is interested in specializing in adolescent psychiatry.

Tiffany’s school is consistently named one of the top universities in the country for service, and Tiffany feels that her service experiences have had a tremendous impact on her.  “They have allowed me to meet new people, help those who need assistance the most, and stay humble.”
