Casey Feldt is a freshman at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, and plans on majoring in elementary education. She knows firsthand the importance of public service, and how it makes you put your life in perspective. After volunteering with the Key Club in high school, Casey became interested in volunteering; the fulfillment of helping others helped her decide to become a teacher, because in that way she could help children grow and learn on a daily basis. Casey’s parents are her academic inspiration: “they worked hard when they were my age and their accomplishments have proved to be well worth the determination.” In addition to teaching at the elementary school level, Casey is also very interested in art history.
