Jared Miller is passionate about the American governmental system. This freshman student of Political Science, at Samford University in Birmingham, AL, loved participating in mock trials during all four years of high school with great success, and he hopes to continue during college. Jared hopes to eventually become a lawyer, and after working in this field he would like to either enter politics or become a judge.

Jared feels that today’s youth have an exorbitant amount of free time, and that this time could be used in small, simple ways to improve society. “Public service, especially in young people, helps to build a sense of community within the public at large, and a sense of responsibility and self worth that lasts into adulthood.” In addition to his studies, Jared is also an avid fan of CS Lewis.
