Catherine Stanley is a senior at Columbia Southern University, Alabama, studying Occupational Safety & Health through distance learning. She has worked for over ten years with the U.S. Navy, currently serving as a full time Occupational Safety & Health Specialist, at the journeyman level, in Panama City Beach, Florida. She would like to continue her studies and earn her Masters degree, in order to open more avenues for promotion within her field.

Although Catherine graduated high school 31 years ago, her co-worker Cheryl encouraged her to pursue this degree. Catherine hopes to prove to herself that she can be the first one in her family to get a degree. In her spare time Catherine loves to expand her mind through reading, especially Nora Roberts, who allows her to “travel without ever leaving home”.
