Emily Theus is a native of Columbia, South Carolina, in her freshman year as a physic major in her hometown, at the University of South Carolina. Although she has not decided upon a career yet, she is passionate about planning retreats for youth through the Montreat Planning Team and her church’s youth council, and she hopes to utilize the skills she learned there in the future. Her parents and teachers have encouraged her to be curious and strive for more than just a good grade. Emily works part time babysitting and doing childcare part time at her church. In her spare time she is learning how to play the mandolin. She loves British humor and the television show Dr. Who.
