Lindsay Smith is a first year nursing student at Pensacola State College in Florida. In addition to studying to become an intensive care unit nurse, Lindsay works at the Pensacola Lighthouse and Museum as a Sales Associate. Lindsay was first inspired at a young age to become a nurse by a popular television series. “Ever since I saw my first episode of MASH,” she says, “I’ve wanted to go overseas and take care of wounded military members.” This hard worker’s success is motivated through her parents, both of whom have successful careers working for the Department of Navy, and have shown her how important a college education is in achieving her career goals.
