John-Paul Heil

Heil_John-PaulJohn-Paul Heil is a freshman at Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, MD. With a double major in Philosophy and Theology, and an interest in minoring in Italian, this ambitious student’s goal is to become a Catholic priest. John-Paul loves to write, and does so for The Mount Echo, his campus’ weekly newspaper. He is also co-chair of the Faith and Ministry Committee for Student Government, and vice-president of the Faith in Psychology discussion group; as well as involved in bible study, Militia Immaculata, and Campus Ministry. John-Paul is passionate about his Faith and writing, and hopes to be able to combine the two in the future. He has six brothers and sisters, and wants to be a good role model for them. He believes that “if young people do not take an active interest in society, our future is at grave risk.”
