Written By RobynFriday, 09 April 2010The EOUSA/USAO Emergency Relief Fund was established by the Department of Justice Executive Office for United States Attorneys and United States Attorney Offices for the purpose of assisting EOUSA and USAO employees and their families facing natural disasters or personal crisis. The Fund provides financial assistance in the form of tax-free grants and/or no-interest loans to eligible EOUSA/USAO employees and their families who suffer loss as a result of an uninsured personal crisis, emergency, or natural disaster causing injury to life or damage to property.

In honor of its 2010 National Training Program to be held in New Orleans, Federally Employed Women (FEW) is adopting two schools affected by Hurricane Katrina, in hopes of providing books, uniforms and other needed supplies to students. FEW's goal is to raise $5,000 for each school.
FEEA is assisting FEW by collecting donations for the effort online and via check. Donations can be made here by choosing "FEW: A Helping Hand" from the Gift Designation list. Checks payable to FEEA – FEW: A Helping Hand may be sent to: FEEA, 3333 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Suite 300, Lakewood, CO 80227. Additional information is available on FEW's web site .

- Eligible: NTEU Ch. 228 dues-withholding members for at least two years, their spouses and/or college-age children.
- Awards: Up to three awards at a minimum of $1,000 each.
- Application: Eligible students will be entered in both the NTEU Ch. 228 competition and the FEEA contest with a single application. Applications for the 2010-2011 school year will be available on the Web site by January 1, 2010.

Written By RobynTuesday, 23 September 2008The Social Security Administration Emergency Relief Fund has been established by the Social Security Administration (SSA) and the Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund (FEEA) for the purpose of assisting SSA employees and their families suffering the effects of Hurricanes Gustav and Ike. The SSA Fund will also assist State Disability Determination Services (DDS) employees in the affected areas.

Written By RobynWednesday, 27 August 2008The DISA Emergency Relief Fund provides financial assistance to DISA employees when they face natural disasters, emergencies or uninsured personal crises that result in injury to life, serious illness, or property damage. Employees can support the Fund by making a donation to FEEA during the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) and further designating their contribution to the DISA Fund.

Written By AnnaMonday, 18 August 2008The NARFE-FEEA Natural Disaster Fund, which is supported by NARFE members and administered by the Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund, can pay out grants up to $500 per NARFE household to reimburse NARFE members for losses stemming from declared natural disasters. - Application: Eligible students will be entered in both the NABNA contest and FEEA's regular scholarship contest with the submission of NABNA’s application. Applications for the 2010-2011 school year will be available on the Web site by January 1, 2010.
