Written By RobynTuesday, 23 September 2008The Social Security Administration Emergency Relief Fund has been established by the Social Security Administration (SSA) and the Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund (FEEA) for the purpose of assisting SSA employees and their families suffering the effects of Hurricanes Gustav and Ike. The SSA Fund will also assist State Disability Determination Services (DDS) employees in the affected areas.

Written By AnnaThursday, 19 June 2008The Intelligence Community Employee Assistance Fund (ICEAF) provides emergency financial assistance to civilian employees of all parts of the Intelligence Community (IC) that fall under the direction of Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI). The Fund provides financial assistance in the form of tax-free grants and/or no- interest loans to eligible IC employees and their families who suffer loss as a result of an uninsured personal crisis, emergency, or natural disaster causing injury to life or damage to property.

- Awards: $1,000 each.
- Application: Eligible students will be entered in both the AFGE contest and FEEA's regular scholarship contest with the submission of the AFGE application. Applications for the 2010-2011 school year will be available on the Web site by January 1, 2010.

- Eligible: FMA members, including retirees, their spouses and college-age children. Grandchildren of FMA members are also eligible beginning with the 2010-11 contest.
- Awards: $1,000 per student, plus one $1,500 Francis Webb Scholarship.
- Application: Eligible students will be entered in both the FMA contest and FEEA's regular scholarship contest with submission of the FMA application. (Grandchildren are not eligible for the FEEA competition.) Applications for the 2010-2011 school year will be available on the Web site by January 1, 2010.
